Born in Montreal, Canada, 1964. Moved to New Zealand in 1970. Passed School Cert and University Entrance Exams while at school, but with indifferent marks. Got accepted into the Auckland University of Fine Arts, 1984, but failed the first year. A few weeks later, decided to become an artist. Did odd jobs, lived on Waiheke Island (N.Z.), travelled, stayed in Crete, while the whole time generally doing the Starving Artist thing. In 2006 returned to N.Z. to do some pictures and stayed a while.
